[G2:1021 class=right]Only 2 days on the road and my trucker's tan is already coming in quite nicely. Must have something to do with the elevation. Come to think of it, my passenger-side laptop might have an effect, as well. While the sun bakes the left arm, my computer increases the contrast by showering the other with its nerd emissions, making it ever more pale.
The good news is I've finally reached Arizona. I would've been here earlier in the day, but I just can't seem to pass an abandoned gas station or an old motel sign without shooting a few frames. I can already tell that's going to be a big problem in these parts.
I did, however, get here early enough to begin following a few leads. Among them, I tracked down the [G2link:567]burial site of Warren Earp[/G2link], kid brother to Wyatt, and discovered the [G2link:542]saloon where he was murdered[/G2link], now a Western-movie-memorabilia museum run by a retired New York radio host who kindly offered his knowledge on ... well, just about everything:

I'm staying in Willcox tonight, just 51 miles inside the New Mexico-Arizona border. I had originally planned to stay in Tucson and use that as my first base of operations, but I've decided to go with the fresh and very simple plan of following my southernmost leads first, then working my way generally up I-17 as far northward as I can before having to turn around and head home.
I just hope the [G2link:545]train derailment[/G2link] I witnessed this afternoon doesn't turn out to be some pathetically obvious foreshadowing of the journey to come.
